The Hyper•Formance MotorSports mission:
To unite the fragmented road rally industry and provide a safe, legal and
competitive driving event for everyday drivers. Provide a “direct-link” to
the billion-dollar automotive accessory market as well as all motor sport
related companies that will endorse RallySport.
HMS was created in Portland Oregon where RallySport was born in 2004. After
failing to secure major corporate funding and sponsorship, the company decided to
move its operations in 2005 to Southern California.
As of September 2009, the company is fully funded with a major corporate sponsor
ready to reintroduce RallySport to car enthusiast nationwide. Located in Los
Angeles, HMS enjoys the full cooperation of Southern California police agencies
preparing to keep RallySport operations safe and legal.
HMS will produce 10 monthly events per year starting February 20th 2010, with the
championship event in November in Southern California. The season consists of
one RallySport event conducted on the third Saturday between February and
November.
RallySport is simply the sport for road rallies. It is not racing and competitors will
never be encouraged to drive in an unsafe, dangerous, or reckless fashion. Police
agencies approve of road rally type events because the racing component is erased
and replaced with many more competitive challenges that works well within the
interest of public safety.
RallySport is a derivative of the motor sport known as Rallying. Rallying is a form of
motor competition that takes place on public roads with modified production or
specially built road-legal cars and driven by everyday people who feel they have
need to DRIVE TO LIVE.
HMS offers a commercialized professional motor sport version of precision driving
for the “everyday driver” complete with organized teams supported by corporate
sponsors.
Beachwood Cottage Films a popular video production company
(Hollywood, Ca- click here: Beachwood Cottage Films ) will produce all video content
which will be used for a new reality show based on RallySport. DVD's will be sold on
a monthly basis starting June 2010.
Like professional motor sports, driving skill and intelligence is used as well as speed
and horsepower thus effectively taking racing or the urge to race out of the equation
for winning. In RallySport you can be the first to leave and the last to cross the
finishline and still WIN.
